DEL MAR, CA

Del Mar is a beach city in San Diego County. The town has a wealthy population along the coast and the bluffs overlooking the ocean.

Del Mar is Spanish for “by the sea,” which reflects its location on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. Del Mar’s climate is considered Mediterranean-subtropical with warm, dry summers and mild, humid winters. Temperatures exceed 85 °F only on a few occasions throughout the year and rarely drop below 41 °F.

“Aaaaand away they Goooooo” The Del Mar Horse Races are hosted on the Del Mar racetrack every summer. You can watch it from the grandstands or a local favorite, at the Brigantine restaurant while eating a Fish Taco. Visiting Dog Beach with your favorite furry friend is a great way to spend an afternoon and meet other Dog lovers. And definitely check out the Torrey Pines Reserve. Hike with friends and enjoy the ocean breezes as you work on your cardio! Del Mar is one of only two locations where the Torrey Pine tree naturally occurs. The Torrey Pine is the rarest pine in the United States; only two populations of this endangered species exist, in Del Mar and on Santa Rosa Island. Del Mar is a place for all to enjoy!
